| The topsites used to be the heart and soul of this site. While it is still a large part of what makes Ranklists.com so great, we want to believe that we are more than that. We first stumbled upon the idea that a topsite can be a great marketing tool when the founder of this site discovered that it is hard to find all site of relevance to the topic he was looking for. A search engine simply turned out too many results not relating to the site he wanted to visit. But one of the site he visited had a button linking back to a topsite, where other sites pertaining to the same topics can be found. | ||

is a topsite?
For those of you who are unfamiliar with what a topsite is, it serves as a medium where webmasters can get their sites to be visited more. The way it works is that supposely the more hits you bring in, the more hits you will receive back from the ranklist. All you have to do is put a link from out ranklist on your site, and try to get people, lots of people, to click on the link to move up the list. The higher up you are on the list, the more hits you will probably get back in return because visitors have a tendency to click on the sites ranked high up. All you need to do is register on one of the ranklists whose category corresponds to the topic of your site.
